New World--Benediction to Pope John Paul II

Amazing how over 40% of the world saw one man get buried today, simply because of the power of a righteous life combined with political and spiritual power. Karol Vojtyla/Pope John Paul II was a person who is unique in my lifetime, and my voice to describe him, though as a non-Catholic Christian, is pathetic and small. I'll just quote Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, where Mark Antony is at the place where Brutus, who had assasinated Caesar for his tyranny, had died after being defeated by Antony in battle, yet still admired Brutus: "This was the noblest Roman of all. His life was gentle, and the elements so mixed in him that the whole world must rise up and say, 'This was truly a man.' "

Amen. Johannes Paolo Secundum Magnus, rest you gentle, sleep you sound. We shall soon join you in the great rapture of all who love the Lord. Goodbye.
