4 February 2005--New Changes--I Hope.

Yes, I have been away from this page for a good while. I have been completely indecisive. Which way to go, with just about everything in my life. Not very good for a 49-year old man who has very little money. But I know that a flexible man has got to be able to remake himself, or he will be left behind. So, after doing some praying, and some serious rethinking of my life, a decision has been made. That is, along with the decision to use this blog a lot more than I have. I am going to write, in addition to all the other things I have decided to do. My daughter Jeanine, along with Gail, has known of my wild and crazy imagination, and of my desire to write. There has been a burning desire to write a series of books about what kinds of things will happen in the future. That has drawn the attention of a lot of authors, religious and secular. The secular authors are sometimes wrong, and sometimes you can find someone who has some pretty keen insights.

The religious authors, except for the ancient writers of the Bible itself, are almost all completely out of their mind, including (or I should say, especially) the Christian writers. Some of the books nowadays, especially one very popular series, are just plain horrible. I am constantly complaining about them, and just the other day Jeanine and Gail told me that I should quit just talking to them about it and start turning what I know into something that can be productive. When they did, I just felt that old "tapping on my shoulder," the kind of inaudible voice in the soul that can only be from God, the kind that has the irrefutable ring of truth. So, I guess that's what I am going to do, also.

Well, that's my life's decision. It will be interesting how I am going to balance them all. But if I'm supposed to do this occupational "juggling act," I am confident that the Lord God will show me how, and give me strength and success.
